Designing and delivering falsework to provide support to the concrete elements and create a working access deck as well as to provide a suspended falsework system to ensure work on lower levels are not impeded.
The project
requires some of the largest continuous concrete pours ever undertaken in the
UK, with exceptionally high load requirements. Falsework, formwork, and shoring
systems must support enormous weights while maintaining millimetre-level
accuracy.
To meet these requirements, the GASS shoring system was successfully designed and delivered as a high-capacity falsework solution. GASS shoring towers provided reliable support to critical concrete elements while simultaneously creating a safe working access deck. Developed in close collaboration with BYLOR, the system was configured as a suspended falsework solution, allowing work on upper levels to progress without impeding operations below.
GASS is a lightweight yet high-capacity shoring system designed for speed, safety, and ease of use. Its modular design and minimal number of components enable fast erection and efficient handling on site. Advanced safety features and exceptional load-bearing performance make the system a reliable solution for demanding construction environments.
Thanks to its high load capacity, flexibility, and proven performance on large-scale projects, GASS is ideally suited for high-rise and multi-level construction projects where speed, safety, and reliability are essential.
“It’s fantastic to see the hard work come to life. Working directly with the engineers in the Heat Sink platform, from the start, has allowed the Hünnebeck/BYLOR design to develop into the solution required. Adapting and improving to suit the conditions as we go along. It’s a great team effort.” – Paul Payne (Senior Designer - Key Accounts).
